Osteopathy is an established, recognised system of diagnosis and treatment, which is a safe and natural approach to healthcare. It focuses on the musculoskeletal system; the bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues and the way in which this inter-relates to the body as a whole. Our treatment is individually tailored towards every patient and diagnosis is carried out through discussion, observation and touch. Gentle stretching and mobilising techniques as well as joint manipulation are used to help facilitate healing. All osteopaths must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

We believe in the ethos of a hands on approach.
We use soft and deep tissue massage, stretches, joint mobilisations, manipulations and various other techniques to gently and safely bring about healthy changes.

Who do you treat?
Our patients range from children to older adults, athletes to weekend warriors. Conditions treated may include joint pain, back problems, neck pain, frozen shoulders, sports injuries, arthritic pains, osteoarthritis and much more. We treat using traditional structural and sports massage.

What do you treatMany conditions may benefit from osteopathic treatment. However, you do not need to be in pain to visit an osteopath. You may require postural alignment due to imbalances caused by either recreational or occupational activities, or even to release tension that has built up in your body as a consequence of stress. If symptoms persists we will refer you to your GP.

Charities we help:
Each year, Trowbridge Osteopaths helps a charity by offering treatment in exchange for charitable donations. Claire has helped by providing sports massage to London marathon runners, gone fire walking for Cardiac Risk In The Young, and offered cranial treatment to babies in exchange for donations to the The Starlight foundation and Naomi HouseCLIC  and Children's Hopsice South West.

Please allow an hour for new initial consultations. We may not use all this time as the length of your consultation will be dictated by your level of pain, type of injury and circumstances. There will be time allowed to fully explain your specific problem, your treatment plan, exercises and any questions you may have. Occasionally it is not always appropriate for treatment to occur at the first session as further appropriate testing from your doctor may be required. In the unlikely event this is the case, and we can't help you on the day, the Osteopath will explain our referral process.

Follow up appointments are 30 minutes. This includes a review of your condition, treatment, exercises and time for any questions you may have about your treatment.

Please note we do not accept payments by card. You may pay by cash, cheque, or bank transfer.
